Just duck and carry on

The past year has taught me that no matter what sh*t life throws at you, just duck and then carry on.

I've been through a pretty rough time and I'm still recovering, but everyday I feel a little bit better. I've learnt that I've got to live each day to the max - with the occasional lazy day - and spend as much time as I can with the ones I love. Who knows what might happen tomorrow.

I guess that's why I've been working my ass off this past year to get those grades that I want, because I really want to be successful career-wise. Whenever I wasn't doing any uni work I was chatting to my friends online or visiting my family and spending time with my boyfriend, and recently I have been able to meet my friends like Charli (the loveliest girly in the world <3) more often so life is definitely getting better! Hopefully I can meet up more people over the summer now that uni is nearly over.

So what is the meaning of this post? I don't know, I just wanted to ramble like a wise woman ahahaha. But I guess this is a message to all of my readers that never walk away from the people you love, and if you have a goal then work your ass off and get there! And if you're going through a rough time; life will get better

That aside, here are some pictures of my recent look. I haven't dolled up recently because I still have problems with my eye - I really need to get it checked out - so it was a nice breather!

I realised that after I had done my makeup I was running out of time because I wanted to watch Criminal Minds *cough* so had to stick with straight hair!

"That's why her hair is so big, it's full of secrets"

What?! Two blogs in one day?! What's going on here?!
Well seeing as my last blog post was completely different to what I normally post I felt bad and decided to create another one because that's how much I love you all <3

Lately I've been looking at trying out different hairstyles rather than the straight hair I normally go for, because to be honest I've been getting really bored of it. I don't know, I just don't feel glamourous enough if I just straighten it (unless I'm going for the oraora look) so I've been keeping my eyes open for hair inspiration and hair tutorials. My main focus was on Ageha mag scans because damn those hairstyles <3 I can't even-

Here are some of the ones I would love to try out, and I'm planning on buying hair rollers soon to stop me from buying more clothes (haha).

I'm really into half up-dos at the moment, and I would love to do a really curly hairstyle that's half up with some sujimori! I tried doing a sort of sujimori in my post when I met Charli in London, but I want to keep on experimenting!
I know there are some that are technically not a half up-do, but I do like the whole hair-to-the-side kinda' thing too.

Something Completely Different

Okay so this post is a little different from my other posts because this time I'm finally showing my uni work. I'm actually a bit nervous posting about it because it's totally unrelated to what I normally write about so... I hope you'll still enjoy reading it <3

Basically I'm studying Graphic Design and I'm growing to love it more and more with every lesson I'm doing! I'm currently working on my FMP (Final Major Project) and I'm designing wedding invitations! It's something completely new and I've never done it before, but I just enjoy it so much *_*

So I do feel a bit guilty asking this but... Would you guys be able to do me a massive favour for me? I'm working on this huge-ass methodology essay and a section of it is gathering feedback from other people, and what better way than posting it on my facebook and on here with all you lovely followers to see?

Et voila, my design!

I'm just going to show my invitation design as it's the main one of my project but I have done RSVP cards, Save the Date cards, Place cards... The whole lot!

Here are the questions I would like you to answer; there's only four and they're really short ones so please take some time to answer them because I'll love you forever if you do <3

  1. Do you think this design has a fairy tale theme? Can you spot the fairy tales?
  2. What do you like about it?
  3. Is this design suitable for a wedding?
  4. Anything else you'd like to say about this design?

Thank you so much my darlings, it really does mean a lot to me <3

Starry Eyed

I did it again... Pressed "Publish" instead of "Save". I'm such a douche!

Woo I'm feeling inspired again!
I think that it's all thanks to the weather; it's getting warmer and there are some rays of sunshine... Could spring finally be here? (About time)
That aside, this week I've been doing a mixture of relaxing and uni work and, well, I'm feeling really good! I didn't really have many good nights sleep but I had a long lie in yesterday and I feel so much better! I guess it's a good thing to have lazy days every once in a while.
My uni work is coming along really well and because of that I feel better when I doll up because I know that it isn't "wasting valuable design time". Oui, I do graphic design, and it's really hard to step away from the computer and not do any design.

I dolled up today because I had to get up early anyways so I had plenty of time to myself and come on, who would want to do uni work from half 7 in the morning? (I actually did that a couple of weeks ago... Was a killer). I originally wanted to wear my new MA*RS dress that Charli bought for me but alas, it's too cold for it ;_; I can't wait until summer when I could actually wear my pretty dresses!

Enough talking from me, have some pictures!

I lost my black necklace that I wanted to wear ;_;
